Laptop Riser in Birch Plywood

More Desk Risers

So, I decided to make some risers for myself!

One was a printer riser – so that I could store the spare printer paper underneath without filling up a drawer. I decided to try adding the vents on the top left to right, only as a test. Personally I think they look better front-back, but of course nobody will see them anyway 🙂

This was I think, the first time I’ve not screwed the unit together. Instead I used Dominos. IT was possibly slightly quicker as I didn’t need to make the plugs and cut/sand them.

The other was a small one as laptop riser to keep my laptop at the same height off the desk as my other monitor riser.

Studio Riser

A Bespoke Wide Keyboard Riser

This project, was a custom sized riser for a regular customer who needed to lift his keyboards up from his studio desk. It was made to his dimension specification and entirely of 18mm birch plywood, and finished with satin water based varnish.

I also included some foam on the bottom of the “legs” for a little extra vibration damping.
